Last night was really interesting. I’ve never actually DJ’ed a fashion show. Let along been to one. Most of the time you’re just used to seeing just the runway and this long line of photogs standing in salute with celebs mixed throughout. Something like a setup of industry musical chairs.

The show (@ Country Club) was for Elisa Jiminez, one of the designers from Project Runway. So….peep game. I get there and I’m doing the usual bberry multitask between the bbim,txt,phone aka the blackberry shuffle. And I set up and everything and then ten minutes before show start I get the show cd… and guess what homies. Disk wasn’t finalized! So i spent the next however many minutes trying to dig up the songs off a one bar wifi connection and blogger site…THANKS HYPE M! and trying to get their backup playlist on an iphone to connect to the 1/8th inch input…FU APPLE! (techies know why i said that). So I could only salvage two of the shows songs and we just made due and rocked wit that. They wound up telling me to just play the intro song and then doubling up on Nas - I Can (BIG SURPRISE). I thought it was gonna be like one of those sorry ms foo foo she-she euro non descript house tracks. All in all, it worked out. The show was great and Elisa and her husband were very cool.

So now I pack up and I got 5 minutes to get down to One manhattan..one ave 2 blocks. Not Bad. Next Post.
